This is a very educational video for me. I always try to wear pants that have pockets so that I can tuck in the hand that is not holding the pointer from time to time, because I don't know what to do with it.
Body language is important. Standing, walking or moving about with appropriate hand gesture or facial expression is preferred to sitting down or standing still with head down and reading from a prepared speech.
Yes! I'm glad you brought this point up with the class because I see how uncomfortable speakers get when they don't know what to do with their body parts!
